Donated Books being collected from the Capital

In 2018 The Zimbabwe Rural Schools Library Trust reached out to charities and individuals as they found themselves in an SOS situation. They had a container of donated books and computers all destined for primary schools in Zimbabwe. They had run into an issue with clearing the consignment and demurrage cost were mounting.

The Zimbabwe Rural Schools Library Trust New Zealand [ZRSLTNZ] is a New Zealand registered charitable trust. It was created to encourage a reading culture among children in Zimbabwe and in New Zealand, and to mobilize reading resources for the underprivileged rural children in Zimbabwe.

We at The Innovation Trust passionately believe in our charitable purpose for the advancement of education, check out our post on our Child Scholarship program. We felt that The ZRSLTNZ’s principles were in line with our own and so we decided to provide some assistance to clear the container.

The situation was resolved successfully and the books were distributed to 45 primary Schools in Zimbabwe. Check out the images below to see the absolute joy on the children’s faces.

The Innovation Trust would like to thank the Zimbabwe Rural Schools Library Trust for allowing us to be a part of this amazing project. Thank you!
